SWEP-CT: CT DEEP - Presentation on Water Resource Mitigation

SWEP-CT invites its members to attend a lunch-and-learn session with CT DEEP on Water Resource Mitigation on February 26th. This session will provide valuable insights into various aspects of mitigation and funding opportunities.

Agenda:

• Water Resource Mitigation 101: Laura Robbins will provide a comprehensive overview of mitigation options (restore, enhance, create), compensatory mitigation in CT, and mechanisms of mitigation (permittee-responsible, in-lieu fee, and banking). The presentation will also touch on aspects of mitigation law and the overlap with federal mitigation requirements.
• Land Acquisition and Restoration Program/Funding Opportunities: Mindy Gosselin will present updates on funding opportunities for land acquisition and habitat/wetland restoration projects along the CT coastline.
• Q&A and Discussion
